Location
Although only 1km from the lovely ‘pueblo blanco’ or white village of Benamocarra,
Bambú is situated amongst acres of avocados and mangos. The country road leading
to Bambú is lined by a screen of bamboo, from which the resort takes its name. Our
nearest neighbour is ½km away, ensuring complete privacy. Bambú is in a great holiday
location.
For lesbian tours Spain, Bambú is a perfect lesbian hotel to while away a few days

There is plenty to see and do in the area. Benamocarra is a lovely and friendly place
to explore and to enjoy sampling the food and drink of its many tapas bars ... and
the 20 minute walk between the village and Bambú, albeit down an unlit country track,
is pleasant and safe. 15 minutes away is the Spanish seaside town of Torre del Mar
and a little further along the coast is Rincon de la Victoria. Both Torre and Rincon
have long wide beaches and wonderful promenades, dotted with countless beachside
restaurants, enjoyed seemingly by all the towns’ inhabitants, young and old, late
into the evening. Torre del Mar also boasts a water park, excellent craft and food
markets and good shopping facilities. The attractive resort of Nerja is a 25 minute
drive - it is also home to some beautiful beaches and stunning caves. Also nearby
are the award-winning white villages of Frijiliana and Competa and the beautiful
Lake Viñuela, But if city living is more your thing, then Malaga city is just a 30
minute drive away. It is a fabulous and vibrant city, renowned for its art galleries,
nightlife and its tapas bars - and is in many respects not dissimilar to Barcelona
but famed for Picasso instead of Gaudi and, surprisingly, visited by far fewer tourists.
Bambú, the perfect apart-hotel for lesbian Malaga.
For those wanting to explore the greatest prize of all, Granada’s World Heritage
Site of The Alhambra is just over an hour’s drive from Bambú. Andalucia’s two other
magnificent cities of Cordoba and Seville are a little further afield – but are still
accessible by car or by fast train from Malaga. Each of these cities is exquisitely
beautiful and of major importance in the context of European history, art, religion
and culture.
This is the real Spain - not the tourist ghetto of the Costa del Sol - enjoy the
culture, the landscape, the weather and the language!
And Bambu is the best way to enjoy lesbian Spain!
